Japan Visa Application Guidelines

There are several types of entry visa.

Japan visa requirements may vary depending on your background and the purpose of your visit. It is essential to choose the appropriate type of visa based on your intended stay. There are two main procedures for submitting required documents, depending on who will cover your travel expenses:

Travel expenses covered by a friend, family member, company, or a designated group.
Travel expenses covered by the applicant themselves.

1. Prepare Your Philippine Passport

Ensure your passport is valid for at least six (6) months beyond your intended departure date from Japan.

2. Check the List of Required Documents

Review the list of necessary documents specific to your visa type.

3. Gather Documents from the Japan Side

If you have a guarantor in Japan, please prepare the required documents from their side. Note: Clear scanned copies of these documents from Japan are acceptable.

4. Prepare Documents from the Philippines Side

o All documents must be original and printed on A4-size paper.

5. Submit Your Application

Once all documents are complete, submit them to Friendship Tours and Resorts Corporation.
o Applicants outside Metro Manila or Cebu may send their documents via courier service (e.g., LBC or OCS).
o Payments can also be made through LBC or other banking networks.

6. Application Filing

Friendship Tours and Resorts Corp. will file your application with JVAC on the appointment date after receiving all necessary documents.

7. Possible Additional Requirements

Embassy of Japan may request an applicant for additional document or personal interview after submitting all the documents, FRIENDSHIP will inform you for further information.

8. Passport Return

Only your passport will be returned after processing. Reminder: Submitted documents will not be returned. Please make copies of your documents before submission, if needed.

9. Air Ticket Reservation and Issuance

Once your visa is approved, check the visa validity period and maximum number of days allowed before purchasing your airline ticket. 10. Departure from the Philippines to Japan
